At the daycare “Les Anges Mia & Tia”, according to the law on the educational daycare duties has to make sure that the meals and snacks supplied to the children are in accordance with the Canadian food Guide.
The children take 3 meals during the day as follows:
The menu is balanced and meets or exceeds the established standards. The breakfast, lunch as well as the snacks are prepared and served on the spot.
A weekly menu mentioning the 3 meals will be displayed in advance to the parents so that they know about the tasty dishes that their children are going to enjoy.
The lunch is very complete and always include food of all the food groups. The snack is served after the nap to allow the children to take back some energy to continue to have fun until the end of the day. The developed menu allows the children of taste new food and to savor healthy meals which they know well.
For the children who do not eat meat or a pork, we offer vegetarian meals.
The time of the meals is also used to favor good habits. The meals are served in a good-humoured atmosphere. The children are encouraged to eat by themselves.
Allergies:
The daycare accepts the children who have food allergies with a supporting medical proof. All the requests of food limitation other than allergies with no medical proof cannot be considered.
A special attention is carried for the children having allergies or eating disorders. The staff works together with the parents of the children who suffer from intolerances or from food allergies to allow all the children to take advantage completely of the program. The staff is trained in first care.
The children cannot bring food, chocolates, gums, candies from the house.
During the birthday of the child, the parent can bring a cake but he has to make sure that this cake does not contain walnuts, almonds or peanuts. The educators will organize a birthday party.
The staff is truly wonderful! My daughter is excited to go every single morning and see her friends, she absolutely adores it here. The educators are sweet and it shows they truly care about the kids.
My daughter has been there for the past 4 years and she loves it! Super clean very friendly educators we honestly love them all and we have created a superb bond with them we find it so hard to leave!
Both our children attend Mia and Tia daycare and we are very happy with the attention and care they are provided with. A Great atmosphere , healthy meals and such caring educators and directors.

I am very happy that my children are going to Mia and Tia daycare from the nursery. Their food is nutritious and balanced. My children eat better at daycare than at home.
